Street Dance is one of the fasted growing dance trends in the UK. Despite the many different Street Dance Styles around all with specialised moves, there are some popular styles that are used as a basic and grounding foundation to choreography in their current day, Namely Old Skool and new Skool Hip Hop. The course runs through term time, the first examination will be Student Teacher and then Associate Teacher. The course leader is Marianne Dawson Student Teacher and Associate in Street Dance - 1 year intensive (1.15 hours per week over 36 weeks)

With a recognised dance teaching qualification from the ISTD you can open your horizons to a much wider range of opportunities across the private and public sectors. The ISTD’s portfolio of teaching qualifications is broad and varied to offer current and potential dance teachers qualifications that are up-to-date, relevant to the latest developments within the sector, recognised nationally and internationally and that suit them no matter where they are either in their career or in the world. You will need to have the studying towards or hold Intermediate qualification to start the DDI and DDE syllabus these can be obtained through the Jason Thomas Performing Arts. The course leader is Deborah Bond.
