Jason Thomas

Jason(R.A.D.R.T.S (Cert. Ed) A.I.D.T.A.) started dancing at the age of 9 at the Cornwall High School of Dancing in Camborne,run by the charismatic and inspirational Madam Norman. At the age of 12, Jason auditioned successfully for Bush Davies School and The Lagat School of Russian Ballet. After finishing the Lower school at Lagat and appearing with the Northern Ballet Theatre on numerous occasions, he attended London Studio Centre, gaining the position of Head Ballet Boy in his second year. After graduation and becoming a member of Equity, Jason has worked throughout the world. He performed in London's West End,throughout Europe and Asia in Las Vegas style revue shows, gaining soloist/dance captain and company manager positions. He performed on many cruise lines on inaugural cruises, holding the same positions.

Terry Etheridge

Terry Etheridge has an extensive career in Dance and has performed with the English National Ballet, Northern Dance Theatre and in various West End musicals, television programmes He has taught at some of the World’s best Dance Schools these include, The Royal ballet School, Ballet West, Rambert School (Principal and Ballet Master) and Urdang Academy (Head of Dance), Hong Kong ballet, Icelandic Ballet Company, Royal Swedish Ballet Company, Finish National Ballet, Ballet Gulbenkian Portugal, London City Ballet Terry has choreographed pieces for the Royal Opera House London, the Vienna Festival Ballet London , Cape Town Opera, Die Fledermaus Gothenburg, Merry Widow Opera Sweden , Don Carlos the Opera South Africa, Chess the Musical Denmark, Sweeny Todd Finish National Opera, New ballet Youth ballet Australia

Rob Mannear

Robert Mennear left Cornwall in 2003 to further his studies in London at ‘The Place’ (London Contemporary Dance School). There he gained both his BA (hons) Degree in Contemporary Dance and his Postgraduate Diploma in Performance with the touring company EDg07. He then went on to tour nationally and internationally with such professional companies as IJAD Dance Company, FFIN Dance, Jose Vidal and Angela Praed. Robert established himself as a freelance Dance Practitioner and Artist in such institutes as The Place, where he aided in developing youth dance as well as leading C.A.T Out-Reach Dance Schemes. Now Robert is excited about his return to the County in hope to further fuel dance in Cornwall.

Sally Geater

Sally Geater RGRT.MCSP.MAACP. Chartered Physiotherapist. Sally is a Chartered Physiotherapist specialising in dance injuries, technical correction and pilates. On returning to London Sally was lucky enough to work with Shirley Hancock and along with Alan Herdman developed a lifelong passion for dance and pilates, encorporating these skills in her clinical work. During this time Sally worked with a variety of performing arts schools, musical theatre, Royal Ballet School, Royal Academy of Dancing and was Physiotherapist with the English National Ballet for 10 years. After re-locating to Cornwall Sally has focused her interst in dance and pilates on assisting young dancers and teaching pilates in the community. During the past few years has been working with the Youth Dance Academy in Exeter. Sally is excited to be working with Jason once again.

David Warner

David Warner B.A (Hons) degree in Urban Dance Practise I graduated in November 2014 with a B.A (Hons) degree in Urban Dance Practise studied at the University of East London. I have extensive knowledge in most urban styles. These include; B-boying, Popping, Locking, House, Waacking, Hip-Hop, Capoeira. Knowledge of these styles includes the History, Foundations and development of the style. I thoroughly enjoy training in Lyrical, Ballet, Jazz, Tap. I am currently living and working as a freelance dance teacher/ performer in Devon and Cornwall. I currently teach regularly at, Jason thomas school of performing arts in Truro.

Soo Drouet

After graduating from The Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art, Soo Drouet worked extensively in film, t.v., musical and straight theatre and radio. She is most well known for her role as 'Fanny', Little Johns wife in "Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves" with Kevin Costner, Morgan Freeman and Alan Rickman. She is also known for "Casualty"and "The Krays". She has appeared in "Eastenders", "The Bill","Minder", "Lovejoy","Murder Most Horrid","London's Burning","Alas Smith and Jones", "Agony Again","The Upper Hand","Surgical Spirit" and "Mr.Wroes Virgins", and many other productions. She has most recently played 'Mrs.Hyacinth Bouquet' in a theatre production of "Keeping Up Appearances" and has appeared in "The Cafe" for Sky 1 and is in the next series of "Doc Martin".

Soo is also a qualified Dramatherapist, after graduating with a Post Graduate Diploma in dramatherapy in 2001.She sings in the well loved a capella group "Angel Tongue", based in Penzance and has performed all over the south west.

She is looking forward to being part of the great team of teachers that work with Jason Thomas.

Jason Pook

Jason Pook started his trained at Jason Thomas Performing Arts and then at London Studio Centre where he graduated with a First Class BA (HONS) degree in Theatre Dance, Theory and Performance. After graduation, Jason moved to Paris working for the dance spectacle at Disneyland Paris as a dancer and face character performer. Shortly after, Jason joined Costa cruises SRL productions where he did two contracts. Following this, Jason became a proud member of Norwegian cruise lines, performing in Tiger Martina’s ‘Vegas The Show’ onboard the Norwegian Sky completing three successful contracts. He also toured Boston and East Canada working onboard the Norwegian Dawn as a singer dancer. These performances included assisting in the ‘Evolution Of Magic’, dazzling crowds with Norwegians number one show at sea ‘Elements’, which included Ariel performing. Jason is also a certified Zumba instructor and has enjoyed teaching many people from all over the world along his travels. Jason is now proud to be teaching at Jason Thomas performing arts, offering his full support to anyone wishing to achieve their dreams.

Tom Hare

Tom is a Cornish Actor, Singer and Teacher and has worked up and down the country in Theatre Film and T.V. After graduating from The Guildford School of Acting. Tom toured the UK before eventually returning to Cornwall. Tom has worked as a singing teacher and audition coach for nearly 10 years working with all ages of performers. He is delighted to be teaching on the Foundation Course.

Penny graduated from the Urdang Academy, London having studied with some of the most influential dancers and teachers around including Terence Etheridge. With performing experience in the UK, Turkey, Belgium and Italy, Penny also has teaching experience in Germany, Belgium, Cyprus, Spain all over the UK and Italy. This includes International summer schools for the RAD and Cecchetti Society in Italy, assistant choreographer and ballet mistress in Northern Italy with works touring Italy, Spain and Portugal. Penny has also supervised for the RAD CBTS teaching programme for many years in Italy. Many ex students are in ballet companies, West End, Cruise ships, musicals and in television. Based in Italy Penny loves returning home to Cornwall to teach.

Stephanie Johnson

Stephanie began her professional career at the age of 18 playing the part of Dainty June in “Gypsy” at the crucible theatre, Sheffield. Other Regional credits include: Godspell- National tour, Oklahoma- National tour, Hold tight its sixties night – National tour, Chicago- Oldham Rep, Dame Yankees – Birmingham rep, Slice of Saturday Night- Colchester Rep, You Never Can Tell- Colchester Rep, Pantomime: The role of Cinderella- Crucible theatre + Oldham Rep. Aladdin – Players theatre, West End + Chichester Rep. West End Credits: - Which –Witch – Piccadilly theatre, Aspects of Love – 1st cover Juliette Trapani- Prince of Whales theatre, Miss Lynch + Jan in Grease – Cambridge theatre, Gumby cat and Grizabella, Cats – New London theatre. My one and Only – Palladium, Songs from the shows with Ruthy Henshall – Albert Hall, Howard Goodalls – Girlfriends – Mermaid theatre. During this time Stephanie worked closely with industry professionals such as “Andrew Lloyd Webber”, “Arlene Phillips”, “Cameron Mackintosh” and “Jason Gardener”.
